Every year on March 8, International Women's Day is an opportunity to highlight the role of women in society. To this end, since 2022, the Collège des Sociétés Savantes Académiques de France has been showcasing portraits of remarkable women in the world of research, from all disciplines, ages, and career levels, who contribute to the diversity and strength of current research. The hope is that their journeys and lives will encourage young middle and high school girls to pursue academic careers.

The College of Academic Societies of France has highlighted the profile of Charlotte Curé, Bioacoustics Researcher and Director of Research at Cerema UMRAE.
Her research focuses on studying the sounds produced by cetaceans and assessing the impact of noise pollution on their behavior, with a view to proposing solutions to reduce noise impact.
